The pro-life team of Holy Cross’ main purpose is to promote the Culture of Life.  As such, we participate in the spring and fall 40 Days for Life campaigns and sponsor morning prayer vigils in front of Planned Parenthood.

Our parish's Pro Life activities are part of our Social Concerns Committee whose mission is to protect and provide assistance to those who are in need.  As a pro-life community, we value all life.  This is the basis for the service work that we provide. The Social Concerns committee is always looking for new volunteers and is open to starting new ministries.  Please consider volunteering.  Our meetings are on the first Tuesday of the month at 12:30 p.m.

There are different opportunities within this ministry. There is prayer both at home or in the Church or while taking part in a  prayer vigil on Thursdays at the abortion clinic. The Kent Pregnancy Help Center provides help for those women who are willing to consider an alternative to abortion. The vigil atmosphere is safe and peaceful. As a result of our prayer vigils and the 40 Days for Life, some workers in abortion clinics have stopped working there and have remarked that they were surprised by the gentleness and love we show to all.
