BiographyI have a deep-rooted connection to the Diocese of Wilmington, having relocated from New York to Delaware and growing up within this wonderful community. My educational journey began here, attending grade school in the Diocese of Wilmington. From an early age, I discovered a profound passion for education, which has only grown over the years. I launched my career in early childhood education, an experience that fueled my ambition to pursue further qualifications in elementary and special education. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services from Washington College and earned my Special Education Graduate Certification from Wilmington University. While teaching within the Diocese, I undertook a year-long leadership internship, which significantly enhanced my understanding of school operations and leadership. This experience provided me with opportunities to engage in various aspects of school administration, including participating in Middle States committees, organizing Spanish fairs, contributing to professional development committees, student support committees, and running clubs, among other activities. Building on these experiences, I pursued a Master’s Degree in School Leadership and obtained my Administrative Certification from Wilmington University. My time as both a student and educator within the Diocese has profoundly shaped my vision and commitment to education. Today, I am thrilled to channel my passions for education and leadership into the role of Principal at Holy Cross School. It is a privilege to lead and serve this community, and I am dedicated to fostering a nurturing and inspiring environment for our school community.
Personal Belief StatementMy personal belief statement aligns with the vision of Holy Cross School, emphasizing that education should be rooted in the love of Christ and focused on the development of the whole child. As educators, our mission extends beyond imparting knowledge; we are also entrusted with nurturing our students’ spiritual and emotional well-being. I believe that each student’s learning journey is unique, and no two paths are identical. Recognizing this, we strive to provide a supportive environment that illuminates a path for each student, guiding them not only towards academic excellence but also towards personal growth, faith, discipline, and strong moral values. Our role is to cultivate an educational experience that fosters the holistic development of every child, helping them to thrive in all aspects of their lives.
