Letter O Week

Animal Notebooks (Homework & Reading Notebooks) are purchased by the school office and are $1.50 each.  Please send in $3 for the notebooks. Also, if you haven’t sent in your $15 for the classroom supplies, please send it in as soon as possible.  Thank you!

  • Homework should be completed on the night it is assigned below.
  • Please have your child study their Reading Notebook each night.
  • Please use the Handwriting Guide to complete handwriting homework - Thank You!

Monday - Write your first name - 5x (Uppercase & Lowercase letters please!)

Tuesday - Write the uppercase letter O - 10x

Wednesday - Write the lowercase letter o - 10x

Thursday - Write the number 1 - 5, 3x each - No Show & Tell this week

Friday - Read a book with your family!

In addition to daily lessons, T1 Progress Reports will include:

Religion: Sign of the Cross & Guardian Angel Prayer

Math: Numbers 0-10, Counting, Shapes, Colors, Patterns

Language Arts: “Letter of the Week” sounds & letters, sight words, Rhyming, Comprehension

Personal Social Skills - Reciting Personal Information, Show & Tell

Motor Skills - Handwriting & Scissor skills, Ties, Buttons, Zips, Snaps

 

Reading Notebooks - Color Sight Words

Please study these words each night.  If needed, I have added a link on my web page for flash cards with the color sight words that can be printed at home.  Check the “Documents” section.

Letter L Week

 

Internet was down ALL DAY on Monday!

I was unable to access and print the new Classroom Newsletter.  Homework has been adjusted for the week.

Language Arts

  • Diocesan Theme: Rejoice in the Lord!

What’s New….

  • We will read stories, say our prayers, play games, and hear about the fun we are going to have this year in Kindergarten!  We will learn about the K2 classroom.
  • We will learn about the rules and procedures of the K2 classroom and our school.
  • We will get to know our K2 classmates and talk about being good friends.
  • We will visit our Enrichment Teachers this week, but not switch classes with K1 & K3 until next week.
  • We will take our Beginning of the Year Kindergarten Assessments.
