Holy Cross School Participates in Global “Kahoot” Learning Activity During Catholic Schools Week 2018

Dover, DE:  Holy Cross School students in grades six and eight participated in a global trivia “Kahoot” game during our Nation’s Catholic Schools Week on Thursday, February 1, 2018.  The National Catholic Education Association along with Catholic elementary, high school, and colleges across the country celebrate Catholic Schools Week each year focusing on faith development, academic excellence and dedication to community service.

Forty–four Holy Cross middle school students in Mrs. Patricia Guido’s English Language Arts classes logged into the nation-wide game and listened to Catholic school teachers from Clearwater, FL facilitate the broadcast.  Over 800 students from as far as Ottawa and Mexico, Maine all the way to California “met online” to share about their schools and learn how others are celebrating Catholic Schools Week. Students and teachers began with prayer and followed with the lively trivia game. One of the highlights for the students was seeing all of the other classrooms waving hello.

“Through technology we have the ability to interact with other classes and schools and help our students to make connections.” wrote Erin Galley, teacher at St. Cecelia in Clearwater, Florida who facilitated the event.
