6th, 7th & 8th Science
I will continue to post assignments here and schoology until the end of September, at that time, I will only post to schoology.
Hard to believe we are in week 3 of the school year. We will begin the new school year working on organizational skills and time management skills. Please stress to your child the importance of doing homework on the day it is assigned, keeping their binders and lockers organized. We have a flex period that students may utilize to visit a teacher if they are having trouble with their homework.
8th Grade
We are beginning the year with a review of the metric system and graphing. In the metric system, we will review the base units of length (meters), mass (grams) and volume (liters) as well as their prefixes. We will also review converting from one unit to another by multiplication and moving the decimal. In graphing, we will review line, circle and line graphs. The students will discover when it is best to use each of these graphs.
