Costuming for Choir

Red, White, Green short sleeved shirt.

Christmas themed Hawaiian shirt.

Khaki or light colored solid shorts, capris, pants or skirts.

Sandals, flip-flops or white gym shoes.

If your child has a Flower Lei, sunglasses and/or a Santa hat,

they may wear them as well.

The idea is to have them look like they are at the beach at

a tropical place but with a Christmas twist.

No sleeveless or tank tops or very short skirts or

short shorts please.

Students should report to their classrooms at 6:10pm the

evening of the concert, dressed and having used the

Attendance is mandatory for both performances

and is a major test grade.

Websites for Listening to the Christmas Musicals

Here are the links for your student to listen to and sing along to the songs for their musical.

In order to listen to them, a parent will have to create a free "account". Once you create the account,

click on the song and have your student sing along. This is great practice for them at home.

Christmas Is Jesus - PK/K Christmas Musical

The PK/K Musical is right around the corner! We are so excited!

Some of our students have been assigned speaking roles in the musical.

These are short, one-liners that are easily memorized at home.

If your child was assigned a line, it was sent home last week.

Please help your child learn their line.

All PK students are "the heavenly hosts of angels".

The Kindergarteners were assigned character parts of the nativity

and are being sent home this week.

Please help your child with their costume. You can get creative and make one together or if you

choose, a store bought costume for your child's assigned character will work well also.

I highly recommend Oriental Trading Company or Amazon. They are in expensive and are very nice.

Please look for your child's letter home in this weeks communications.

Any questions, please feel free to email me.

2 Christmas Musicals this year!

We have a wonderful dilemma!

Our student body is growing rapidly each year, and our new stage in the Parish Hall/Auditorium

remains the same which means less space for our starlettes.

Some exciting changes have been made with the structure

of how we perform our musicals this year.

We have decided to split the Elementary Christmas musical and have ALL the

Pre-K and Kindergarten classes perform ONE musical this year on their own!

The Pre-K and Kindergarten dramatic musical will be on Tuesday, December 5th at 6:30pm

in the Parish Hall/Auditorium.

They will present "Christmas is Jesus"- a simple Christmas musical for kids

by Luke Gambill and Rhonda Frazier

Grades 1 through 5 "A" classes will perform their own

Christmas musical on Thursday, December 14th at 6:30pm in the Parish.

This years musical, "Jingle Bell Beach" by Christy and Daniel Semsen, is a faith-based spin

off with a flair similar to the movie "Pitch Perfect" and is sure to heat things up this winter!

1st - 5th "B" classes will perform their musical in May.

More information for the Spring Musical is forthcoming

as is the details for each of the Christmas musicals.

Again, the music department will be doing a service project for all

of the winter concerts in December

This year we will be focusing on relief efforts to aid those in Texas and Louisiana

who have been devastated by Hurricane Harvey. More information will follow...
