Reminders…

11/6 - Mrs. Jones visits the ELC

11/6 - No school for students (except 6th grade)

11/10 - Red, White, & Blue Tag Day - $1

11/10 - 1:30 pm Veterans Day Rosary

12/5 - PreK & Kindergarten Christmas Musical, 6:30 Parish Hall

 

READING NOTEBOOKS - New words will be introduced and added periodically.  Please have your child practice these words every night and return the notebooks each day in the daily folder.  

 

Homework

Please don’t skip any lines between assignments.

Please encourage 4 Star Work!  Please also use the Handwriting guide in the back of the Daily Folder.

 

Monday - Read & Write the sight words on page 3 in your Reading Notebook.  Words should be written on the same line as the sight word.  4 Star Handwriting please!   

Tuesday - Read & Write the sight words on page 4 & 5 in your Reading Notebook.  Words should be written on the same line as the sight word.  4 Star Handwriting please!

Wednesday - No school!

Thursday - Create an ABB pattern with Red triangles & Blue Circles (Short week - no Show & Tell)

Friday - Read your Decodable Reader book, Hot, Hot, Hot with your family and fill out the form found in your Daily Folder zipper pouch.

 

Show & Tell will be assessed for an Personal/Social Skills Grade on the T1 Report Card. Show & Tell is worth 10 points.  Starting next week, 1 point will be deducted for each day it is late.  

 

In addition to their daily homework, please keep practicing:

The Sign of the Cross* Grace before Meals* Hail Mary*

Personal Information*  Color, Sight, & Reading Words*

Also practice tying your shoes*, buttoning*, zipping*, and snapping*

 

*These will be assessed as part of the T1 Progress Reports.

READING NOTEBOOKS - On Monday, we will be assembling our Reading Notebooks.  New words will be introduced and added each week.  Please have your child practice these words every night and return the notebooks each day in the daily folder.  

 

Homework

Please complete all homework assignments in the “Fun-Work” composition book that is located in the back sleeve of your Daily Folder.  Please don’t skip any lines between assignments.  Homework will be checked daily.  Please encourage 4 Star Work!  Parents, please see that students use the Handwriting guide in the Daily Folder and only complete the work that is assigned for each night.  Show & Tell will be assessed for an Personal/Social Skills Grade on the T1 Report Card.

 

Monday - Study your Sight Words in the Reading Notebook - these words should be studied at home each night.  Please return Reading Notebooks everyday.

Tuesday - Have fun Trick or Treating!

Wednesday - Write two words that rhyme with “pot”.  One finger spacing between each word.

Thursday - Show & Tell - Bring in a “P”icture or “P”hoto of something or someone and tell us three things about it!

Friday - Read a book with your family!
